Recent Sessions

Here's what we covered in the past few months. People found these helpful, so we're building on these topics.

March 2025

Password Management Reality Check

Forty-two people showed up to learn about password managers. Turns out most folks were reusing the same password across twelve different accounts. We fixed that.

January 2025

Understanding Banking App Permissions

Walked through why banking apps request certain permissions and which ones you should question. Several attendees discovered apps with way too much access to their phones.

November 2024

Public WiFi and Banking: What's Safe

Demonstrated exactly how vulnerable banking activities are on public networks. People left knowing when to wait and when it's actually okay to check their balance.

September 2024

Social Engineering Tactics Used Against Bank Customers

Played through actual phone call transcripts from fraud attempts. Most attendees admitted they would have fallen for at least one of the scenarios before hearing the breakdown.

What Makes Our Workshops Different

We don't lecture at you for two hours. These sessions are practical—you'll interact with real examples, test your own security setup, and leave with specific steps to take.

Most people discover at least three security gaps in their current banking habits. That's not a sales pitch—it's just what happens when you actually look at how you're protecting your accounts.

  • Real phishing emails and texts to analyze, not made-up examples
  • Your questions answered on the spot by people who've seen these problems before
  • Small groups so everyone gets attention—we cap sessions at 50 people maximum
  • Take-home checklists you'll actually use, not generic security advice
  • Follow-up email access if you think of questions later

Sessions run between 90 minutes and two hours. Bring your phone if you want—we'll help you review your actual security settings.

Getting Started With Our Events

Registration opens six weeks before each event. We send reminders three days and one day before the session. If something comes up and you can't make it, just let us know—we'll move you to the next one.

No cost to attend. These sessions are part of how we help people protect their banking information before problems happen.
